The best way for us to explain our employment philosophy is to quote from our vision/mission statement.

"We provide a safe and secure but challenging work environment that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, team spirit and ethical conduct."

By safe, we mean that safety is a primary concern on every task, for every project.  Our corporate Health and Safety team is continually working to improve our safety standards and reduce "at risk" behaviors in all activities.

By secure, we mean that we want our employees to know that management is working hard to assure them that their careers are moving forward with a progressive company.

We chose the conjuction "but" to contrast the terms "secure" and "challenging".  While we do strive to offer security, we also want to place the challenge of the assignment in front of each employee.  Complacency can be a challenge to innovation, and we will avoid complacency with challenge.

Our efforts to promote innovation include incentives to employees who find a better way, go the extra mile, or in some way find ways to break through imaginary boundaries created by complacency.

Aquaterra was founded by an entrepreneurial mindset.  Our successes have been the result of a focus on opportunity to benefit from our drive to serve and succeed.  As a result, we seek a similar spirit in all employees.  When we find it, we expose it and we nuture it. 

Team spirit is what makes our work fun.  In Aquaterra, you will sense an esprit de corps that emanates from our employees.  It makes our employees proud to call Aquaterra their company. 

Ethical conduct is exercised throughout Aquaterra as a compass that points the way.  We acknowledge absolute rights, and we strive to model ethical conduct in our relationships with other employees, clients, and the public.
